唐宋两代是我国古代社会发展的顶峰之一，也是忠州发展的重要时期。正是在这个时期，“忠州”之名被正式赐予，许多当时赫赫有名的人物来到忠州。作为人臣，他们尽忠职守；作为父母官，他们勤政爱民；作为将领，他们以身报国，宁死不屈。这些忠臣良将的事迹至今仍被忠州人民传颂。

The Tang and Song Dynasties were one of the culminations of our country's ancient social development and a crucial period for the development of Zhongzhou. It was during this period that the name "Zhongzhou" was formally granted, and a throng of most celebrated people of that time came to Zhongzhou. As subordinates to the Emperor, they were devoted to their duties; as officials serving the people, they were highly concerned with people’s livelihood; as military leaders, they sacrificed their lives to defend their country, and they would rather die than surrender. The honorable deeds of these loyal officials and audacious generals have been eulogized by the Zhongzhou people as of today.
